1939 Zündapp DBK250 (SOLD)

We now have this incredible rare DBK250 in very original condition back in our shop again. The last owner moved on to Vintage Harleys so she is back here for sale. This bike retains the original paint and a lot of original parts.

Let’s start with the parts on this incredible rare machine. First the bike has the original matching frame and motor number and it comes back to the correct year, this is no parts bike here. Next the frame is in great condition along with the forks and has original Ribe bolts everywhere. The front and back fender are in very good shape and straight. The Zundapp logo on the rear fender is 100% original, the headlight is original to the bike and this includes the original glass, lens and switch inside the front light, what a nice touch! The key is included. The rear tail light is also a Hella and 100% original. Next look at the grips on the handlebars, those are 100% original( we have replaced them with new ones now). They are a bit old but they are 100% original. If you look close the seat is also original to the bike including the rear tag on the seat, another incredible touch of pure Zundapp beauty. The motor is in very good shape and retains alot of original parts. We have placed a new correct carb on the bike, a 2/22 Bing. The motor runs great and has great compression, the transmission works perfect. The bike currently has a new clutch installed as well. We have replaced the head gasket and base gasket, they are new now. We have also wired the bike with all new cloth wire, brand new. We replaced all of the control wires EXCEPT for the high beam low switch for the lights. This is the only wire we have left original as it works just fine and didn’t have to be replaced. If you look at the mufflers and pipes they have no dents and are perfect. The motorcycle is a perfect example of a well preserved original bike. It now has new tubes and tires. The rubber pegs have been replaced on the foot pegs.

I have  uploaded a few more new pics of the new changes made. The motorcycle now also has the correct painted tank cover and this can been seen in the first two photos on the add. We also have the tool box which we will mount back on the bike. All in all, this is a great running motorcycle.
